There from-the-trenches reports indicate dramatic changes in stores’ looks and purpose. As more sales move online, stores remain a focal point for operations – but they’re evolving into more experiential, hands-on environments. There’s a widespread need for the overhaul of recruitment, training and compensation, yet few indications of action. As stores capture additional customer information through IoT data and biometrics, shopper data will grow even more abundant. Optimizing the supply chain remains critical.
