    For one of the world’s largest direct sellers of beauty products, producing and distributing marketing material to its many independent resellers is a vital step in the sales process.

    However, the company’s legacy system forced users to manually download and upload digital assets and manually ship them among countries on hard drives. The company needed a solution to help accelerate its marketing initiatives and reduce cost, while increasing efficiency through new, optimized business processes for its various geographies and business units.

    The company engaged Cognizant's assetSERV™ team as a consulting partner to help evaluate digital asset management (DAM) vendors.


    Our approach

    We conducted a detailed requirement analysis and gathered user feedback. Using a custom-weighted scorecard to develop a proof of concept, we helped the beauty company select a solution and then tailored it to meet its needs.

    Our extensive knowledge of DAM technology enabled us to deliver both a strong security model to enforce licensing, and the ability for users to easily see assets globally. We created a custom module to separate the functions of viewing and downloading assets. Users can now see all the creative assets available in any geography, and the solution enforces the purchase of usage rights when necessary.
