The purchase of and payment for equipment, supplies and services from external suppliers must be conducted in accordance with established Cognizant Purchase policies. The associates involved in ordering products and services from external suppliers through the CAPPS purchasing system must be familiar with all policies related to purchasing and payables.
SUPPLIER STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
The relationship between Cognizant Technology Solutions (termed as “Cognizant”) and its third-party representatives, suppliers, vendors and subcontractors (collectively termed as “Suppliers”) is important. This relationship plays an integral part in achieving and maintaining high performance in our businesses. With our Core Values and Standards of Business Conduct (also called the Cognizant Code of Ethics), these Supplier Standards of Conduct (termed as “Supplier Standards”) set forth the minimum standards and practices that Cognizant’s Suppliers are required to uphold.

We monitor Suppliers through surveys, questionnaires or audits. We may devise remediation plans if and when we find them deficient. However, failure to comply with these Supplier Standards may result in termination as a Cognizant Supplier and referral of the matter to local authorities. Cognizant Suppliers may report suspected violations of the Code of Ethics or specific concerns regarding Cognizant’s financial affairs, accounting practices, auditing matters, corruption, fraud or other violations to the Cognizant Compliance Helpline.
