Learn MoreA multinational technology company needed a trusted and long-term strategic partner to provide technical and engineering support to its video engineering unit. To accelerate productivity, we first established an operations center and an engineering lab, along with an offshore delivery center. Next, our customer transferred about 200 of its employees with deep video engineering expertise to Cognizant to ensure continuity of quality and service. We ensured all contractual commitments were met during this time.
Our operational and technical expertise was instrumental to the successful transition. We efficiently navigated the complex European labor laws and recruited a team with the right skills and career goals. After successfully transferring 98 percent of the company’s personnel to our organization, we aligned each individual’s role with Cognizant’s career architecture.
At the same time, we began preparing for the future, ensuring that Cognizant could support and contribute to our customer’s long-term business strategy. We also developed proofs of concept for next-generation offerings and implemented process automations for application performance monitoring and testing.
By entrusting Cognizant with the complex task of managing its video engineering business unit and serving its customers, the company was able to turn its focus to innovation for the next generation.
Given Cognizant’s deep knowledge of our customer’s products and services, we’ve able to help the company deliver all services on time, with no service disruptions, and also meet its revenue goals—generating savings of more than $600,000 in the first year of operation. The technology company now has a high-performance business unit that is both cost-effective and forward-looking.
