Here are 21 future of work focused themes to keep an eye on in 2021;
1 Zoom-lag will grow.

13 The five day work week will seem old-fashioned.

2021 isn’t going to be much different from 2020 I fear. The virus will remain uncontrolled and those who think it is their job to control it will remain focused on controlling us instead. The vaccine roll outs will happen slower than optimists imagine and 100% immunity will still be a long way off as the year ends. A robust and sophisticated digital channel to market will continue to be the difference between success and failure in the locked down world. Analog businesses will last as long as government largesse does. The QE coffers will be running low by December.
I wish I could be more upbeat as the year begins but I don’t want to BS you. Or me. Viruses haven’t heard of the Julian calendar, and certainly don’t march (or March) to its beat. January 2021 looks pretty much like December 2020 to SARS-CoV-2.
Buckle up – it’s going to be another difficult year.
