The Hiring Process

Once we have your resume, the evaluation begins and follows these steps:

Evaluate Resume:

The recruitment team reviews submitted resumes, and the shortlisted candidates are contacted for further evaluation.

Assess Skills:

For technical positions, candidates undergo technical interviews with technical experts. All candidates are assessed on cultural fit. Candidates may be asked to take a written or an online test during the assessment.

Examine Background:

An independent agency conducts a detailed educational and personal background check on candidates of interest before the offer made.

RECRUITMENT DISCLAIMER

1) Employment:It is mandatory for any individual who is offered employment at Cognizant to have gone through a formal recruitment process.

2) Uploading Profile:Cognizant does not accept candidate applications, CVs or résumés via email. You may upload your profile only through the Cognizant Careers Portal or through our employees through the Employee Referral schemes.

3) Applying with Cognizant:You may apply only to a specific vacancy found on our Careers Portal. Please be informed that Cognizant will only take into consideration one profile per candidate. Profiles uploaded by the same candidate using multiple email IDs will not be considered for recruitment.

4) Source:Talent acquisition team posts existing vacancies online at multiple places including the Cognizant Careers Portal, Job Boards (Monster and Naukri only ), Recruitment Partners and Social Media forums (“JoinCognizant” in Twitter and Facebook; Cognizant Page in LinkedIn). Some of the vacancies are shared with our employees for them to refer suitable candidates.

5) Selection:The selection process takes place in any of the Cognizant premises only. Please be aware that at least one mandatory round of face to face discussion with either the Technical or HR Panel is conducted for every applicant.

6) Offer Letter:After the HR discussion and validation of the candidate is complete, and if the candidate is found fit for a role at Cognizant, an electronically generated offer letter is sent to the candidate’s registered email ID from the Cognizant portal only. The offer letters are never sent from any recruiter’s email ID.

7) Background Verification:The candidate Background Verification is initiated after the offer letter is accepted by the candidate. If the Background Verification is unsuccessful / negative, the offer letter / employment will be null and void.
