Led by China, the Asia-Pacific region is well positioned when it comes to digital transformation.

Accelerated by changes in consumer behavior brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the digital transition in business has rapidly advanced from creating new customer engagement channels to a full-scale, inside-out modernization of processes, applications, data platforms and infrastructure. We call this multifaceted approach “engineering the modern business,” an opportunity for established companies to match the digital advantages enjoyed by startups and digital-native organizations.

The digital shift is proceeding at different paces internationally. To gauge progress in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, we interviewed a cross-section of executives from more than 20 large companies across industries and countries/zones. As you’ll see, our research shows APAC is leading the way in many areas, ahead of Europe and slightly behind North America in digital maturity.
