Christian Madsbjerg

Co-founder, ReD Associates

For the past 20 years, Christian Madsbjerg has worked as a management consultant. He writes, speaks, and teaches on the practical application of the human sciences and his work has been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Washington Post, Der Spiegel, and Bloomberg Businessweek.

His latest book, Sensemaking: The Power of the Humanities in the Age of the Algorithm, was released in the spring of 2017 by Hachette Book Group. His book The Moment of Clarity, co-written with Mikkel Rasmussen and published in the fall of 2014, has been published in 15+ languages.

Christian studied philosophy and political science in Copenhagen and London and has a Masters from the University of London.

Ben Pring

Vice President & Managing Director, Cognizant’s Center for the Future of Work

Ben Pring co-founded and leads Cognizant’s Center for the Future of Work. Ben is a co-author of the best-selling and award-winning books, What To Do When Machines Do Everything (2017) and Code Halos; How the Digital Lives of People, Things, and Organizations are Changing the Rules of Business (2014). Ben’s expertise in helping clients see around corners, think the unthinkable, and calculate the compound annual growth rate of unintended consequences has made him an internationally recognized expert on leading edge technology and its intersection with business and society. 

Ben sits on the advisory board of the Labor and Work Life program at Harvard Law School. In 2018 Ben was a Bilderberg Meeting participant. Based near Boston since 2000, Ben graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Manchester University in the UK where he grew up.

Mr. Kaoru Takeuchi

Japanese Science Author

Mr. Kaoru Takeuchi is a well-known science author, essayist, lecturer and host of the popular show NHK “Science Zero,” which features the latest cutting-edge research, innovation and technology created by Japanese scientists and engineers. He has published more than 150 books, including the best-seller 99.9% is a Hypothesis, which has sold 400,000 copies. Mr. Takeuchi has degrees in the history of science and science philosophy from the University of Tokyo, Department of Liberal Arts; and graduated from the University of Tokyo, Department of Physics. He also has a Ph.D. from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he studied high energy physics theory.

Tomoaki Takeuchi

President and Representative Director, Cognizant Japan KK

Tomoaki Takeuchi joined Cognizant in 2007. He established Cognizant Japan in April 2008 and became the President and Representative Director, taking control of the company’s activities within Japan, including business, marketing and delivery.

Before joining Cognizant, he had 20 years of experience in the IT field, including business and marketing management within Japan at Apple, Sun Microsystems and EDS. He possesses abundant experience in the offshore activities of India and China. He specialized in International Management Study in the Department of Commerce from Keio University.

Shinya Suda

Senior Vice President, Information Systems, Astellas Pharma Inc.

Mr. Suda has helped lead IT strategies at Astellas Pharma Inc. (formerly Yamanouchi Pharmaceuticals) since 1992. From managing laboratory data systems to leading the implementation of major sourcing strategies and ERP solutions to restructuring the IT organization, he has an extensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges of modern global IT operations. Mr. Suda has a master’s degree in pharma from Chiba University.

Santosh Thomas

Executive Vice President and President, Global Growth Markets, Cognizant

Santosh Thomas is Cognizant’s Executive Vice President and President, Global Growth Markets, which comprise Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Latin America. He has held this position since August 2016. In this role, Santosh runs the company’s market strategies and day-to-day operations, which includes managing client relationships, sales, profit and loss, and nearshore delivery, among other responsibilities.

Santosh served as Head, Growth Markets for Cognizant from 2011 to July 2016. Prior thereto, from 1999 to 2011, he held various senior positions at Cognizant, including leading Continental European operations and various roles in client relationships and market development in North America.

Before joining Cognizant in 1999, Santosh worked with Informix and HCL-Hewlett Packard Ltd.

Santosh holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering degree from R.V. College of Engineering in Bangalore, India and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Xavier (XLRI) School of Management, India.
