Being big doesn't mean we're not nimble. Cognizant's Emerging Business Accelerator pushes the frontiers of innovation and makes sure the solutions we create for clients keep challenging what's possible. The EBA is organized into three areas:
A core component of innovation at Cognizant is research and development, in which we experiment with new software fabrics that sense, learn and predict customer behavior, fueling transformation of operations and business models.
Cognizant sponsors internal entrepreneurs, providing people, capital and support to create industry-specific solutions that propel client solutions forward, often in platform-based, cloud-driven BPaaS models.
Cognizant matches emerging technologies from academic institutions, venture capital firms, accelerators and startups to our business and R&D teams. Together, we create new offerings that add value to the larger solution sets we deliver and manage for clients.
Across all our practices, we focus on Code Halo technologies that transform the customer relationship, reduce costs and speed time-to-market. Two key elements of this approach include our Cognizant Digital Works offering and our Global Technology Office (GTO), which performs digital technology R&D. We help CIOs, CMOs and CTOs and their staff with strategic roadmaps that chart a path towards developing digital customer experiences and minimizing the risk of IT-business transformation.
In our work with clients, we often solve problems and provide solutions that can apply more broadly to the entire industry. EBA has built an entrepreneurial framework within the company, tapping the talent, ideas and energy of our employees to come up with new products and solutions. We invest a disproportionate amount of time and resources on the most promising entrepreneurial ideas and sponsor several dozen ventures across the company. We are continuously sponsoring more and more “lean startups” to keep challenging what’s possible in our solutions for clients.

The Global Innovation Ecosystem enables innovation with a diverse, global network of external partners and industry leaders. Together, we discover, develop, validate and enable new technologies that help our clients innovate. This includes offering clients direct access to our ecosystem through Innovation Forum events and “Next Is Now” showcases.
