He has practiced this penchant for innovation even in the way he has integrated multiple system with state of the art capabilities to suite our Business model. He manages the complete operations landscape across all branches and centralized operations, and was responsible to create a strategic BPO relationship. He is also responsible for introducing a slew of initiatives in customer experience, redefining how customers look at service in this category using quality tools and methodology. 

Rakesh joined us from AIG where he was the Vice President and Head of Technology. In his rich experience spanning over 20 years, he has held leadership positions at GE Money, Reliance Industries and 3i Infotech.

Pullela Gopichand

Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton Team

Pullela Gopichand is a former Indian badminton player. Presently, he is the Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team. He won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001, becoming the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone. 

Gopichand has also won several awards over the years. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in the year 1999, followed by the Dronacharya Award in the year 2009, and the third highest award a civilian can receive in India—the Padma Bhushan—in the year 2014. 

After retiring from his playing career, Pullela Gopichand founded the Gopichand Badminton Academy in 2008, since then the Academy has produced several world class badminton players including Saina Nehwal, P.V. Sindhu, Parupalli Kashyap, Srikanth Kidambi, Arundhati Pantawane, Gurusai Datt and Arun Vishnu. It was under his tutelage that Saina Nehwal became the first Indian badminton player to scale the number 1 rank and was followed to that feat by Kidambi Srikanth. Gopichand also served as the official Indian Olympic Badminton Team coach at the 2016 Brazil's Rio Olympics. 

Mr. Gopichand’s presentation will give you an insight on the philosophies that he believes in, his methods of coaching through identification and nurturing of talent, and his influence in helping people change for the better.

Sanjiv Gossain

Dr. Sanjiv Gossain is Senior Vice President, Cognizant, Digital Business Europe. In this capacity he is responsible for helping Cognizant clients transform their businesses for the digital economy. He is accountable for the digital business across all practices in Europe.

This is Sanjiv’s second spell at Cognizant having re-joined the company in June 2016, after 2 years at CSC where he led their $2B business in UK, Ireland and Netherlands, where Sanjiv and the team improved the business performance significantly.

Before CSC, Sanjiv was at Cognizant for 10 years across a number of roles. He led the rapid growth of Cognizant’s business in UK & Ireland from less than $100M to over $400M in six years, with highly satisfied clients across all industry sectors. He also spent some time leading the Nordics business and a couple of years as the global markets leader for Cognizant in Telecoms and Media. 

In his 25+ years in the IT industry Sanjiv has worked with numerous blue-chip clients in North America and Europe across multiple sectors. Sanjiv has been both an entrepreneur—as a co-founder of NerveWire, a management consulting and systems integration firm in Boston USA—and as a successful leader in a large systems integration firm: Cambridge Technology Partners (now Novell) where Sanjiv was the Worldwide CTO.

A Computer Systems Engineer by background, Sanjiv grew up and was educated in England, earning BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Essex in England. He is author of the book, "Object Modelling and Design Strategies: Tips and Techniques", (Cambridge University Press, 1998) and has published over 45 technical and industry articles and has presented at numerous conferences and industry events. 

Sanjiv lives in west London with his wife and two sons and spends too much time watching sports rather than playing!

Manisha Lath Gupta

Manisha Lath Gupta is a Marketer, Banker & Entrepreneur. She is currently the Chief Marketing & Digital Officer at Clix Capital, a new age consumer lending firm based out of Gurgaon. At Clix, she runs the Consumer Finance business, and runs Digital & Marketing for the enterprise.

Prior to joining Clix, Manisha was the CEO & Founder of an online portal for artists, galleries and collectors of Indian contemporary art to buy, sell and exhibit their work. She founded the venture in 2005, and it was acquired by NDTV in 2016. Today, Mojarto is the largest e-commerce platform for art in the country.

In her earlier roles, Manisha was the Executive Vice President, Head—Marketing, Electronic Banking & Retail Liabilities and Product & Portfolio at Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank. She was responsible for the marketing strategy, advertising and brand experience across the Axis group companies. She was responsible for managing the product, customer experience and penetration of all electronic channels of the bank like internet banking, mobile banking and ATMs. In addition, she ran the Customer Strategy and Loyalty initiatives for the Bank. She also managed the savings account products & portfolio with a focus on new product development, and campaign management.

Manisha started her career with Unilever India in 1997 where she spent almost eight years across different roles like sales, consumer insights, brand management and new product development.

Manisha is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore (1997) and holds a Masters degree in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Manisha is also a permaculture farmer, and farms on 10 acres of land in Haryana, where she has converted a barren piece of land into a lush green food forest.

Vishal has held leadership positions in business, consulting, operations, setting up businesses and leading large teams across multiple geographies. He has lived and worked across multiple countries. During his consulting career he has worked for a diverse list of global clients from the Oil, Power, Infrastructure, Pharmaceutical, Steel, Metals, Mining, Fertilizer, Retail and Government domains. 

He currently works for Reliance Industries where he heads the Digital Strategy, Architecture and Technology portfolio for the hydrocarbons business. His role is to transform traditional model into a digital business technology platform which is disruptive and gives exponential growth. He leads ideas execution by leveraging adoption of solutions like Advanced algorithms, IoT, AR/VR and cloud. 

He has a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree from the Management School from University of Edinburgh, UK. He is also a Shell Chevening British Scholar.

Kavita Nair is the Chief Digital Transformation Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s largest telecom service provider, effective 31st August 2018.

A member of the National Leadership Team, Kavita leads Digital Transformation across all functions for the organization.

Prior to her present role, Kavita Nair was Associate Director for Commercial Operations at Vodafone India across Customer Operations, Retail, Digital, Customer Experience and Business Transformation. Her primary focus was to deliver a superior experience to customers across all touch points and helping Vodafone to become the Most Loved Telecom Brand in the country.

A career telecom professional, Kavita’s career mirrors the evolution of mobile telephony in India. As the industry matured from basic voice and text to the multifaceted world of data, Kavita played a key role in driving this transformation with a multitude of roles focused on driving innovation and bringing delightful experiences to customers, while creating value for the business. She has held leadership roles in diverse functions across both consumer and enterprise domains. Kavita’s areas of expertise include marketing, digital, retail, pricing, product management, channel and customer operations. She has a strong track record of building some of the most admired telecom brands of the country and Vodafone’s iconic Zoozoos were born during her tenure as the Brand Head at Vodafone India. 

Her talent and success have been acknowledged at several prestigious forums—Economic Times included her in its 25 Rising Women Leaders of India Inc. in 2015; Business Today voted her as one of the Hottest Young Executives to watch out for in 2011 and Brand Equity named her amongst the 8 Marketing Premier League Icons in 2009.

Kavita is an alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), M S University, Baroda where she did her MBA in Marketing and has also completed Senior Leadership Programs from London Business School and IIM Ahmedabad.

Arijit leads the global delivery for ad campaigns. His team partners with sales teams to provide consultative services for campaign implementation, optimization and insights across Ad platforms of Google. The team comprises a combination of hundreds of Googlers and thousands of vendor partners across 20+ sites globally and supports multi-billion dollar Ad revenue. Additionally, he is the Hyderabad site lead for Google India.

Arijit joined Google in 2006 and has led various teams across sales and operations in Ads business and has been instrumental in expanding the footprint of global operations from India. Prior to joining Google, Arijit was the General Manager at and had a stint with VIP Industries Ltd in the capacity of an Area Sales Manager.

He holds an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and a Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University in India.

He resides in Hyderabad, India with his wife and daughters. Wildlife photography is his passion.

Santosh Thomas

Santosh Thomas is Cognizant’s Executive Vice President and President, Global Growth Markets, which comprise Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Latin America. He has held this position since August 2016. In this role, Santosh runs the company’s market strategies and day-to-day operations, which includes managing client relationships, sales, profit and loss, and nearshore delivery, among other responsibilities.

Santosh served as Head, Growth Markets for Cognizant from 2011 to July 2016. Prior thereto, from 1999 to 2011, he held various senior positions at Cognizant, including leading Continental European operations and various roles in client relationships and market development in North America.

Before joining Cognizant in 1999, Santosh worked with Informix and HCL-Hewlett Packard Ltd.

Santosh holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering degree from R.V. College of Engineering in Bangalore, India and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Xavier (XLRI) School of Management, India.
