Cloud-Enabling a Supply Chain Firm’s SAP Infrastructure

The Challenge

Dubai-based ANHAM FZCO provides multi-modal project management, logistics, supply chain, warehousing, and fleet, asset and facilities management solutions to clients in the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Europe. The company needed a digital transformation to make its enterprise IT environment more agile, cost-efficient, secure and scalable, so it could respond faster to changing market requirements.

Our Approach

Cognizant migrated ANHAM’s mission-critical, on-premise enterprise SAP production system workloads to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. As a strategic partner to both Microsoft and SAP, Cognizant leveraged its innovative infrastructure service delivery model and SAP Cloud Assessment and Transformation (cCAT) Framework, so ANHAM could migrate to the cloud without business disruption. The migration has enabled ANHAM to improve monitoring, availability and performance of its IT infrastructure, optimize the capital and operating costs of running it, and strengthen its compliance with NIST SP 800-171 Information Security Standards.

Accelerating Response to a Changing Market

By hosting SAP applications on the cloud, ANHAM now has a strong digital foundation to deepen its business insights, unlock new opportunities, and build new business models. The company is confident that the initiative will deliver multiple operational and financial benefits, as well as deliver richer, more meaningful customer experiences.
