Our client is a global research-driven pharmaceutical giant. It is one of the leading manufacturers of drugs treating ailments associated with eating habits. The company has over 30,000 employees and revenues in excess of 23,000 million US dollars.

Our client wanted to implement PeopleSoft NA Payroll to replace the existing Tesseract payroll system and PeopleSoft Time and Labor to replace the existing Smart Time system for day-to-day operations. The implementation required automation of capturing day-to-day changes in data. There was zero defect delivery because of our rigorous testing and review framework.

• A three-phase approach to facilitate a speedy and complete transition of responsibilities to Cognizant team. The first two phases focused on start-up and transition while the third phase focused on the ongoing service phase for test execution and analysis.
• Robust defect prevention mechanism was developed for our client.
• Automation of parallel testing was accomplished using Oracle CDC (change Data Capture) technology to capture all the data changes in the production.
• Cognizant translated the FRS to a combined Detailed Design Document that specifies the functional and technical approaches towards the Gaps.
• Cognizant developed detailed design documents and online changes for gaps in the Japanese sessions of PeopleSoft.
• Successful implementation of the Payroll and Time and Labor module within the stipulated timeframe.
