Founded in 1985, our client has been in the business of designing, manufacturing, and distributing cost-efficient financing for the acquisition, development, and improvement of single-family homes. The Company operates through four main segments: the Mortgage Banking Divisions, Consumer Bank, Specialty Product Divisions and the Investing Divisions.

Our client uses the PeopleSoft platform to process a variety of back office transactions for the Financials and HR operations. The primary objective was to be up to date with the latest products released by PeopleSoft Inc., so new business functionalities could be built into the new system. The client wanted to upgrade its HCM and Financials platform from the current version 7.5 to the web enabled version 8.8. Though not new to the concept of Offshoring, our client wanted the chosen vendor to execute the HCM and Financials upgrade as two separate assignments, one followed by the successful delivery of the other.

• Cognizant had a robust set of methodologies for the upgrade, supported by a strong set of in-house developed tools, which would help the client derive true value out of the upgrade as well as the offshore model.
