Our client is a $16 billion diversified Technology Company with leading positions in consumer and office; display and graphics; electronics and telecommunications; health care; industrial; safety, security and protection services; transportation and other businesses. Headquartered in St. Paul , Minnesota , the company has operations in more than 60 countries and serves customers in nearly 200 countries. They have more that 40 different business units and approximately 69,000 employees worldwide.
 
Situation
Our client is in the process of implementing the EnterpriseOne Manufacturing and Supply Chain module across its locations worldwide. The implementation will span 30 plus Countries and is likely to be completed by 2007. Due to the complexity of the implementation, the company identified Spain and France as its two pilot locations followed by a third roll-out at Poland . 3M wanted a robust quality assurance process in ensuring that the various business scenarios are identified, scripted, and tested. This required a combination of understanding of the company's business processes, EnterpriseOne software configuration knowledge, and in-depth Manufacturing and Supply Chain domain knowledge to generate over 1500 possible sub scenarios.
 
Solutions
Cognizant used its Onsite-Offshore Delivery Model to deliver this support. To support this project, the Cognizant team is stationed onsite at 3M premises with a larger contingent of the team operating from our offshore development center in India . Since this project started from scratch at a time where even the business requirements were still under definition, it required different levels of functional testing. Cognizant used its JDE and domain expertise to understand the business requirements and system configurations and generate possible logical, system and business scenarios for the configured application.

This is a classic case where Cognizant integrates JD Edwards skills, domain experience and quality assurance expertise to obtain synergy and deliver the desired results for our client.
