The emerging GTIN standards, set by the UCC-EAN joint committee, will force retailers to enhance their information systems and other peripheral devices to accommodate the 14-digit GTIN data structure. Today, the retail industry largely follows the UPC-12/EAN-13 data structures.

We continuously invest in tools and frameworks that can accelerate the solution implementation process.
 
GTIN Process/Systems Mapping Tool
The Mapping tool generates diagrammatic reports showing the high-level system interaction diagram highlighting the impacted applications and processes. Once the applications are mapped, it focuses on the critical applications that would have a high probability of impact of GTIN.
 

GTIN Assessment Wizard
The GTIN Assessment Wizard assesses GTIN usage and impact. The Wizard provides a structured way of information gathering relating to the business process areas and the applications catering to these areas. It contains a generic set of Queries relating to the GTIN usage, which have been compiled based on our process knowledge and past experience. The Assessment team uses this Wizard to collect and record the GTIN-related business process and application information.

 

GTIN Analyzer
Cognizant's GTIN Analyzer toolset examines applications and databases for impacted code or database fields and change them automatically. The tool generates various detailed and summary reports that provide complete details on impacted programs etc. The tool is available in two flavors.
