Client is a international media and marketing research firm serves radio broadcasters, radio networks, cable companies, advertisers, advertising agencies, outdoor advertising companies and the online radio industry across United States, Mexico and Europe.

Client wanted to concentrate on its core competencies and handed over the maintenance of its below-mentioned applications to Cognizant. The Client also wanted development of two utilities for extracting specific data from its database for interfacing with its legacy application. The Client also wanted to enhance an existing legacy application, a print buying system that automates ordering with publication groups, automatically calculates material and space closing dates, and tracks cumulative column niches by publication and campaign, etc. Also requested:

• A media planning tool for radio, TV, newspaper and outdoor advertising that helps to see the impact of an entire campaign.
• A Television and Cable Ratings Application to run demo, trending and ranking reports for television viewing data and planning, schedule and post television advertising.
• An application that simplifies print buying and promotes more work in less time by automating ordering with publication groups; automatically calculating material and space closing dates; tracking cumulative column inches by publication and campaign; designing custom insertion orders.

• We undertook the maintenance of applications. Detailed requirement documents were prepared based on information provided by client. Test cases were prepared for system testing of the applications.
• We completed the development for DB Extractor and QB Connector utilities.
• We also conducted detailed requirements gathering and scoping exercises to identify and implement the enhancements for the legacy application.
• Maintenance requests in the applications were successfully delivered to the client.
