used DAYCO - an operating division and a
recognized brand name for belts, tensioners,
pulleys etc. The Automotive Aftermarket
was part of Mark IV. Parker/Carlisle acquired
DAYCO Industrial in 2001.DAYCO was founded
in 1905 and with almost 100 years of experience
and investments in research and technology
in rubber products we are one of the major
suppliers in the world. Today 100 % of all
MarkIV plants are certified according to
ISO 9001 and/or QS 9000 respectively ISO
TS 16949. |

Carlisle was utilizing the services of
a local vendor to provide the technical
support services for their JDE System. Carlisle
decided to outsource the services to Cognizant
for the following reasons:
- To reduce the cost of maintenance
by using Cognizant’s cost effective
onsite/ offshore model while maintaining
existing service levels
- To implement a strong process driven
maintenance model that uses techniques
such as knowledge repository, metrics
definition, measurement and tracking
- To investigate ways to achieve improved
service levels on the problems reported
in terms of quality and proper documentation.
- To Leverage Cognizant’s SEI-CMM level
V experience and improve upon their
process backbone
- To have access to Cognizant’s experience
in AS/400 based applications and fine
tune the performance of their system
