- Development of an enterprise-wide rating engine with an integrated rate revision workbench that replaced the client's rating engine. For this, Cognizant's internally developed framework was customized and implemented in less than three weeks.
- Design and development of a highly scalable solution (over 100 concurrent users) to provide 'view' and 'print' capabilities for auto and home insurance forms. Web Services could transform XSL to an HTML stream and generate PDF files on the fly. The system could also generate multiple PDF files for each Web request.
- Complete documentation of rating engine business logic for the state of California with attached business glossary to explain database and code-related terminologies.
