Communication Service Providers (CSPs) are under pressure to deliver innovative, next generation value-added services to counteract the decline in basic voice revenues the emergence of competing Internet-based voice services.
CSPs must continuously explore, create and deploy new services in short timeframes. They need to retain services that have achieved market acceptance and phase out less successful offerings in quick succession. This is placing additional emphasis on the OSS infrastructure in areas such as Network Provisioning and Activation systems. At the same time, CSPs need to be more responsive and adaptable to customer requirements to attract and retain customers.
