Catalyst Projects
The Catalyst Program from TM Forum is the BSS/OSS proving ground for a range of projects that include Proof-of-Concept, Technology Exploration, Specification Validation and Supplier Proving Ground projects. It provides Service Providers, hardware/software vendors worldwide and systems integrators, like Cognizant, the environment to work together to solve common, critical industry challenges through collaborative short-term projects that culminate in live demonstrations. Solutions built by Catalyst teams are based on TM Forum standards that enable ease of integration across multiple Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products.

NGN OSS Blueprint
Abstract:
As global service providers examine their current networks and OSS support in relation to moving to all IP Next Generation Networks (NGN), they have concluded that these networks cannot deliver the desired service economy without effective OSS solutions based on NGOSS contracts that are a form of an extended Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The NGN OSS Blueprint Catalyst team demonstrated how to use a SOA and standards-based OSS solution to bridge the gap between service creation, product management and service fulfillment for IMS and other converged services infrastructure.
Accelerating VoIP and IMS-based Services (AVIS)
Abstract:
Increased acceptance and use of communications for voice and content delivery has created the need for instant accessibility to services. This “instant accessibility” is driving the need for Service Providers to implement “Zero Touch” end-to-end service fulfillment that will eliminate long subscriber provisioning and service delivery cycles. The AVIS catalyst project brings together the industry’s leading vendors to architect, build, and test a full end-to-end service fulfillment, delivery, and assurance environments based on the IMS and Service Oriented Architecture.
