We believe protecting the planet is everyone's business. So we're committed to leading our industry in energy conservation, recycling, waster reduction and responsible disposal, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions across our global network.
Across our company, we follow industry best practices and statutory requirements aimed at protecting the world's environmental health. We also actively support national and international climate-change policies, protocols and initiatives, such as the Carbon Disclosure Project.
In addition, we're teaming with our employees to implement best practices for conserving energy and reducing individual carbon footprints. For example, our company-wide Go Green program targerts carbon emissions, energy and paper use, and will soon include waste, hazardous materials and water use. And our Six Sigma building energy-optimization project benchmarks the energy efficiency of our larger development facilities.
We take climate change very seriously, and it has prompted us to reassess our energy dependence and energy productivity. We've identified opportunities to conserve energy and improve the energy efficiency of our facilities and equipment worldwide.
